The Vineyard

Zephaniah Farm Vineyard is a family winery on a third-generation family farm. The winery is named after our great- grandfather Zephaniah.

The Wine

Our wine is carefully crafted by Bill and Tremain Hatch, a father and son team. Bill and Tremain grow our grapes. Their attentive, earth-friendly farming practices - and the great Loudoun land- produce wonderful grapes.

The Tasting Room

Our tasting room is distinctively located in our family home, built in 1830 and filled with antiques. We sell Zephaniah wine only in our tasting room, open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:30 pm.

  • Beautiful space (unfortunately we couldn’t get into the historic house as it was being renovated). We chose the tasting and liked most of the reds but not the whites. Not bad for Virginia wines and super friendly staff!
  • We have been to wineries across the country and really loved this one! We had a group of 10 friends for a birthday celebration. We chose this winery because a lot of the reviews highlighted their kind and relaxed atmosphere. We were not disappointed! We sat outside because the weather was gorgeous and brought our own food in ( which is very rare to be allowed to do this! ) Tremain even offered and helped us move a separate table over to hold our food. They also offered my girlfriend a water tasting flight when they saw she was pregnant and not partaking in the wine with us. The attentive staff regularly checked on us and cleared the table throughout our time there. I often find wines at winery locations to be passable but not usually great. You are often there for the atmosphere and hope to find a wine you kind of like to sip while you hang with friends. Not so here! They had an excellent Cab Franc, and the Chamourcin was juicy, big and voluptuous as well. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of all of their wines red or white. When we were settling up to leave we realized we had paid for 2 more tastings than we used, so we asked if we could put that towards some bottles of wine. The owner Bill was incredibly kind and approachable and actually generously gave us more bottles than we had credit to buy. We will definitely be back and we will be spreading the word as well!
