Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area, Lewisville

Natural reserve park located just about a mile from Lewisville downtown. There's an entry fee per car and the hours vary depending on the season, usually opening later starting in March. There are several long and beautiful trails, a very pleasant and quiet place. If you enjoy hiking like I do plan to spend 3 or 4 hours easily. Two of the trails have access to the river where you can fish if you have a license. It's worth coming back

Great hiking trails! Dense trails with lots of benches to rest along the way. We saw a deer and heard lots of chatty birds. I did encounter lots of poison oak. So beware of your surroundings. They also offer kayak trails, fishing, and camping. It’s $5 to enter. Happy Hiking! 🌲
