Since 1985, the Lexington Carriage Company has offered an intriguing way for visitors to discover the rich history of Lexington. Slowed to the pace and rhythm of hoofbeats, horse-drawn carriages travel through Lexington's unique historic residential and business districts while professional tour guides point out places of interest along the way.

The Carriage Company is also delighted to provide carriage services for weddings and other special occasions! Our wedding service will make your day a “Cinderella story” event when a white convertible carriage pulled by a team of matched horses arrives to take you to your wedding, or to whisk you away for a romantic newlywed ride together, before taking you to your reception. A “Just Married” sign on the back of the carriage will announce to all that it is your day!

Tours begin across the street from the Lexington Visitor Center (106 E. Washington Street) and operate daily (weather permitting) April-October. Groups welcome.

Walk ups are welcome, or reservations available at www.lexcarriage.com

  • Casual, comfortable ride. Courtney told great stories and very likeable! Made the trip especially nice as we celebrated our wedding anniversary.
  • Wayne (I believe) was our driver. Had a great time, very informative. Super nice to ny 8 year old daughter, let her pet and feed the horses. A great way to see Lexington and get some of the history!
