Horses from around the world--including some champions and some rare breeds--reside at Kentucky Horse Park. Watch presentations on horses' daily routines, including work and play. Ride along the outskirts of the park with a guide, or hop on a horse-drawn trolley for a narrated scenic tour, where you'll learn about the park's history. The park's International Museum of the Horse is considered the largest and most comprehensive museum in the world dedicated to the relationship between people and horses. Kentucky Horse Park Reviews
We went on a Monday and the park was not very busy. We stayed from 10 AM to 3 PM and saw all the shows (some twice as the afternoon shows have different horses), went through both museums and took the... more »
The information here is mind blowing about horses and their history. Beautiful facility and well worth visiting. Shows are also very good. more »
Great first impression, beautiful grounds. Staff was super friendly and eager to help. Lots of horses, including several rare breeds. Something for everyone. Also they are veteran friendly, got in for half price with my ID! Only negative comment, some of the buildings are in disrepair but there was work being done while we were there. All in all, WELL worth the trip!
I'd advise coming early and staying the whole day. If you want a chance to ride horses you'll need to arrive as early as possible as they get snatched up quickly. There are shows that only happen once a day and those are early in the day. I highly recommend this facility if you love horses. There is no better place in Kentucky to go and be among these beautiful animals while learning more about them. The only better experience you might hope for is owning your own horse.
