There was no wait to get in, and there was ample parking when we arrived. The gardens are beautiful. Get ready to walk and get your steps in as you explore the sculptures. A great place to connect with nature and just breath. Plus the kids ran their hearts out. There is a Cafe and souvenir store on site. Only downside the bathrooms were clean when we used them coming in but a little gross a few hours later. Guests need to be more mindful and maybe staff could check in there at intervals just in case. Efforts to balance between nature preservation and human enjoyment are evident through out the grounds.
If you are thinking about coming to deCordova to visit I highly recommend taking a day to do so. I uploaded a ton of photos so you can get a sense of the space. The park is large enough to easily explore for the day and there is plenty of artwork to seek out and find. Sometimes it feels like a treasure hunt and art turns up where you least expect it. The castle offers panoramic views of the ground if you go up to the roof deck. Also it is the museum which offers more work to explore, photography and paintings too. We spent time waking around, letting our children enjoy the space, showing them art, and picnicking in one of the many grassy fields. I highly recommend coming. If you are going to come more than once, because and Audubon member. Also, try to come early if you can.
