  Went to a First Friday event at the Sheldon Museum. The building is beautiful & don't forget to take a walk around the outside to see some of the sculptures. The staff were enthusiastic plus they had a nice little buffet of snacks & drinks. Also liked how they had activities for children. It's a quick trip through this museum but fun for a family as well as a solo visit if you're in downtown Lincoln or on campus. Also liked the different types of art work that were displayed. The permanent as well as the feature exhibit were definitely different.

  Parking during the week can be a hassle if you are planning to visit the Sheldon. The good thing is admission is FREE! The two story space with 3 distinct spaces plus gift shop is a nice way to spend an hour. The building itself is also quite lovely with soaring atrium, stone, and glass. The permanent collection is very good and the special exhibitions interesting.
