HISTORY: On March 19th, 2015, local picker Mark Brazel went to the city of Litchfield with the idea to have a monthly "Pickers Market" - The idea came about from Brazel's own Facebook group page called "Prairie Pickers Flea Market Swap / Sell / Trade" now followed by nearly 11,000 Facebook users. Brazel had been building his page since November 1, 2011, and participated at other flea markets and similar events but wanted to bring something to the table in Litchfield, IL. Brazel met with Litchfield Mayor Steve Dougherty, City Administrator Tonya Flannery, and Tourism Coordinator Sarah Waggoner. All were very receptive of the idea and at the meeting it was decided the event would be held in downtown Litchfield on the second Sunday of each month and it would be called the "Litchfield Pickers Market." Tourism Coordiantor Sarah Waggoner immediately began marketing and advertising the event all over the Midwest. The team of Waggoner and Brazel handled all the logistics including Facebook and social media advertising, vendor recruiting and registration, parking, and with the rest of their team, the first market was set for April 12th, 2015. Brazel had been picking a handful of times with Robbie Wolfe of the History Channels "American Pickers" TV show and Wolfe graciously agreed to come to the first event as the special guest and sign autographs. The first event was hugely successful and the events have only grown since. The April 2015 market filled 58 vendor spots and the markets today can exceed 350 vendor spaces full. Several additional city blocks have been added to accommodate all the vendors. That my friends....is growth. The city of Litchfield Tourism along with Prairie Pickers go above and beyond to bring this market to the you. The Litchfield Pickers Market has already garnered much attention and has been called one of the best and largest markets of it's kind in the Midwest. This is a must see market filled with treasures.

Antiques galore. They had a lot of vendors here, over three blocks on both sides and some side streets. April - October on the second Tuesday of the month. Lots to see and look at. Litchfield also has a nice memorial for it's veterans near by. Thank you.
