The Arkansas Arts Center is on the corner of 9th and Commerce streets in MacArthur Park, Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. The Arkansas Arts Center was founded in 1960, but the idea began in 1914 when the Fine Arts Club of Arkansas formed. The group included supporters and volunteers who contributed to the realization of the Museum of Fine Arts in 1937 in Little Rock's MacArthur Park. The center features a permanent collection of art along with occasional special exhibitions. Other parts of the center include a research library and rooms for several art education classes for a variety of age groups. The center also includes the restaurant Canvas and a gift shop. Many of the facilities such as the main atrium and the lecture hall can be rented for special events.See Arkansas Arts Center and all Little Rock has to offer by arranging your trip with our Little Rock trip maker.
The museum is a member of the North American Reciprocal Museums program. In 2011 it was named as one of the top 10 attractions in the state of Arkansas by Arkansas.com.

The Arkansas Arts Center has moved as they are remodeling the one on 9th street. I went with my daughter and grand daughters to see Christmas Carol. It was awesome, as usual. We love the Arts Center! more »

The Art Center is a wonderful place. Their collection is varied, and wonderful. They have paintings by Monet and Picasso, sketches by Rembrandt, and a range of pottery, jewelry, vessels, and urns that range from a few hundred years old to a over thousand years old. They have rotating exhibits the feature a lot of artists that are from the area. The have a restaurant, gift shop, children's theater, and they offer amazing classes year round from woodworking to painting to making jewelry (metalsmithing). It's a must see place.

The perfect place to stroll through an amazing collection of art. The special exhibitions are always worthwhile. Not expensive at all. I want to try the new restaurant!
