During the fall harvest season, people visit to experience the modern day working farm and to enjoy apple picking in our beautiful orchards on the rolling hills of the escarpment. Others come to taste old family recipes that have been perfected and used to make our delicious fruit butters, apple sauces, and fresh pressed cider. The wooded hillside supports a favorable landscape for growing our evergreen and deciduous tree nursery while providing the grazing pasture for our naturally raised beef cattle. Enjoy our homegrown fresh turkeys available for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We have been picking for several years at Blackman. We were tired of taking our, then younger, children for an afternoon of picking that was more like going to an expensive circus. This is just... more »
This was the first time my spouse and I went apple picking, and let me say it was a joy. Mary (who if I remember correctly is the 6th generation of the family-owned farm) was very friendly to us. They also have other products for sell like jams, juice, pressed cider, and apple slushies to drink, which were AMAZING. We were visiting from Chicago since we went to Niagara Falls, but if you have the time to go there, you wont be disappointed. We also got to do some hard cider sampling and found out a majority of the apples used for their cider come from here! Also, the hard cider options were good! Not a fan of sweet alcoholic beverages, but their IPA cider was delicious.
Great place for families and has a mini petting animal area with goats and ponies. Turkeys are also in display and for purchase. Items such as honey, pears, apples, cider, etc. are always available. Best to come beginning of fall when it’s not that cold and less muddy.
