  • I grew up in this area and we would always do this hike as kids on holidays when the whole family would be around. In the past decade, they've added the route that is now the Ice Age Scenic Trail...

  • Hiking to the top of this dolomite-capped bluff is best in the fall when the leaves are bright yellow, the insects are less bothersome, and the air is cool and stimulating. I hiked the old road...

  • Amazing hike! From either parking lot the climb is pretty short and not too steep to get up to the spectacular views. It's a trail that is challenging, but definitely doable for most people. The views at the top are splendid and varies, with farmland, some marshy area, the river, and of course the rock formations and old trees growing out of the rock around you. Only thing is, people have really discovered this trail since Covid and it is getting crowded. It used to be a really quiet hike because nearby Devil's Lake and Parfey Glen got all the attention. Now this place gets crowded too and people will be parked all along the road leading in. I find though, that most trails don't start getting busy until till 9:30. Come early!
  • Great place to take a hike and enjoy the outdoors. The trails are well marked and are just the right length, not too long or short. At the top is an expansive landscape view, go at dusk to avoid the crowds and take in the sunset.
