Hocking Hills Adventures Reviews
We spent 3 nights at Riverside Campground and could not have picked a better camping experience. We had a group of 5 girlfriends and were fortunate enough to get a spot right next to the river. The ca... more »
I am from Fowlerville Michigan, I have been to Hocking Hills camp ground twice now. Both times I camped at the Riverside Camp Ground. I will always choose this campground. The staff are very accommoda... more »
Last September we booked a primitive spot at the riverside campground, when we realized it would be too cold for a 3 year old to tent camp, we called and asked for a rain check or refund. The owner said no refunds but we can credit your trip for when you’re ready to camp within the next year. Without hassle! July 26 we arrived to the family fun center to camp in our camper :) they allowed us to pick our own spot, this campground is very plain and spacious, which was what we prefer. The campers here were very polite, the campground is quiet, except for minor traffic noise from 33. The front office was very friendly when we checked in and they picked up our trash every evening at 7pm. The price for electric only was a little pricey considering there’s no dump station for black water. We would have liked to see use of either the splash pad or mini golf included in their price of a campsite. The family center campground is nothing crazy fancy, so if you’re into that kind of thing, I’d check the KOA, but this place was perfect for us 💕. The go karts are quiet and we were far enough away from them that they were not a disturbance, my son liked the jumping pad, which was included with our spot, the splash pad was very simple but nice. We did drive down by the riverside campground and it was a mud pit so I’d be very selective of your site if you go that route. The campground at the fun center was not muddy, and had plenty of space between sites! We did not use the bath house, so no information on that. I would recommend this place to friends.
Awesome trip! Went with a group of friends and had an awesome time. The river was delightful and a very nice get-away. We packed lunch and had a fun time. I believe it was a young man named Ian who set us off and another man named Ryan brought us in. They were both very polite. Fun and easy time for my group of friends. Definitely recommend!!!
