Celebrate the diversity of the Pacific Ocean at Aquarium of the Pacific through its 19 major habitats and 32 exhibitions. From penguins to deep-water dwellers, this aquarium has more than 11,000 animals representing almost 500 species. It is also a home to year-round cultural events, marine science educational events, and conservation projects. Aquarium of the Pacific Reviews
Great hours and schedule (9 to 6, every day except Christmas). I toured alone for two hours, and also signed up for the behind the scenes tour. It was a Thursday in January, and I did not find it... more »
While there are no large animals here, they do have the highest standards and do a great job on the education and advocate side of things. I'm not quite on the bandwagon re humans being responsible... more »
The Aquarium of The Pacific is awesome! So many Great exhibits. I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Blue Cavern. It was awesome! My favorite exhibits are the large tanks with not only many different types of fish, but also beautiful sea life, like coral, anemones, etc. My Wife and I went together, but as we went on Labor day there were so many families with kids that were having fun and being incredibly fascinated, etc, band and that made the whole experience more fun for my Wife and myself.
The aquarium is awesome, the addition they've recently built was a bit underwhelming though. I am all for education, which is mostly all their addition is, just some kiosk style self education type things and a really cool theater where you can watch a short film about the environment etc. But a great place to bring the kids or your partner especially if you take the time to read the plaques.
