  This was a good hike from Point Park to Sunset Rock and back. About 2 hours round trip along a path below the rock face. Close to 100 steps at either end but doable. Path is well maintained and the vi...  more »

  Gorgeous view after a very short hike down from the parking lot. Be sure to park in lot or at Point Park or the Town Commons, or you will get a parking ticket.  more »

  If you get one of the few parking spots it is amazing. Otherwise be in for a hike to park at Point Park or Lookout Mountain City and walk in the street. The walk from the parking lot is rocky but still good for novice hikers (not wheelchair or stroller accessible). The view is absolutely stunning! And avid rock climbers can hike the cliffs if they bring their own gear. The trails also go to Point Park as well as Covenant College. Some people even park at the Arboretum and hike up for a strenuous journey. Limited parking and no public water fountain or bathrooms caused 4/5 stars. It is a must see of course at sunset, but it is free so go anytime of day to grab a parking spot. Do NOT park on the road. Locals hate it and you will be towed.

  Absolutely stunning! I wish we had more time to spend there! Parking is limited so if you are going at sun set go early and wear your hiking shoes, it’s a rocky path!
