Season passes are available with discounts available for early season purchase.Plan to visit Pajarito Mountain Ski Area during your Los Alamos vacation using our convenient Los Alamos day trip tool.
In summer, Pajarito hosts numerous special events, many involving mountain biking. An extensive network of single and double track mountain bike trails criss-cross the mountain, including a new singletrack trail going to the summit. Pajarito hosts lift access downhill and freeride mountain biking off the Spruce chair, and has continued to do so after the Las Conchas Fire in 2011. There also are hiking trails, and horse riding is permitted everywhere except on the mountain bike trails. Adjacent to Pajarito is a Los Alamos County campground, Camp May; Santa Fe National Forest; and Valles Caldera National Preserve.

This is a wonderful place to visit. Make the drive up in the winter or summer to get some marvelous fresh air. The restaurant is pretty solid in the summer for some simple eats at a decent price ($8-15). The views are nice and it is a good shake up of city restaurants.
Great hiking. Very pretty drive on the way up. Lots of parking/hiking trails. The Aspens we're stunning! Some good jeep trails on the way up as well. The view from the top was also pretty. If traveling during the spring or fall months, bring a sweater as it can get chilly on the way up!
