Travel Town Reviews

Map The parking lot was free, and the wallet was prepared to pay the entrance fee, but the admission fee was also free. The first thing that surprises me is the rail width, i wonder if it was so wide, and if you look at it, it's 1435mm wider than the Japanese railway, and this is the most common gauge in the world with a standard gauge. The Shinkansen is 1435mm this time. It is a wide standard gauge than Japan, and i think that the train body is big, but it is lonely that the damage of the late vehicle stands out in the museum free. Today, on Monday, Dad was riding on this mini-railroad at the office when he saw his mom friend come to play with his children. There is only one shop in the facility, but there is no snack shop. The museum had a surprisingly small area, and the only thing that would soon end with everything was that i couldn't see the train and only looked at the exterior. The rail was not connected at all with the railway which operated, and it was a museum set up only in this place. It is good to be able to enter for free, but it is lonely that the damage wound of the exhibition vehicle stands out after all. But it was interesting.
This is a fun place to explore for little kids, especially if they like trains. Grown ups can enjoy this too! more »
Great free museum. You can probably skip the train ride which is just a loop around the yard with not particularly good views. (Southern railroad at Griffith Park is a much more enjoyable ride. Visit here for sure, but if you’re waffling about which train to ride, pick that one.) The old engines are great and fun to see. Wish you could enter a higher percentage of the old engines and cars because that’s definitely the highlight of this place.
This is a good attempt to preserve and present a part of the West’s train heritage. It’s relatively a small place with a few train collections but the grounds which are ample enough to accommodate kids on a field trip compensate for it. If you’ve been to the Sacramento Railroad museum, you might be disappointed between the disparity of the exhibits - but hey, this place offers free visits so give it some credit. I recommend this to kids especially if you’re around the Griffith Park area, check it out, bring some snacks and have fun!
