  The Elfin Preserve is a small magical forest with trees that grow only so big due to the microclimate. There is a spot or two that could be out of "Lord of the Rings" or some other magical movie...  more »

  It's not a long walk, but you can get a good view of the bay and Morro Rock. Some of the oak groves have very gnarly looking trees.  more »
