Kentucky Derby Museum features two floors of artifacts and interactive displays that celebrate what some consider the most exciting two minutes in sports. Your first stop in the museum is the 360-degree theater, which screens the film "The Greatest Race." You're then welcome to explore the two floors on your own. Check out the interactive exhibit that allows you to record yourself announcing races with the assistance of a prompter screen. Or view the collection of Derby hats that have graced the heads of race goers since the opening of the track. • We took the tour here and it was an amazing experience. It was well worth the money to see the history and the legend behind the Kentucky derby. If you are ever in Louisville I would stop by and take the tour. You would not regret it. The ladies giving the tour were also the best in the business and were super professional. Good job!
  • This museum is amazing for a horse race. I want expecting much but as soon as I watched the movie they provided I knew this museum would be great. The amount of money spent here is probably up in the upper tiers for museums as the amount of information provided covers everything from the jockeys to the horses to even the clothes that are worn. I wish I had more time when I came as you can easily spend 2+ hours here. Worth the visit for just the movie alone.
