This has a long and interesting history. We’ve taken numerous visitors there and they all enjoy it. Go when it’s cool outside. Prairie Dogs are smart, they stay underground when it’s hot.

A must go place when visiting Lubbock. It was so amazing to watch the Prairie dogs at play. So peaceful and entertaining. There is no charge foe the park. The park areas were nice as well. Would love to come back and just enjoy watching them folic. I even had one bar at me a couple of times. The home they make underground is amazing. The story book on the website tells their history.

Would definitely recommend this place. Prairie dogs are so adorable and are everywhere and I mean everywhere. Admission is free of charge. Lots of space to see them. Very hot. No shade. Would advice you to take water and a umbrella if you will be walking around for a long period of time. Perfect for kids.
