    We were impressed. Such a well run zoo for a small city like Lufkin. The grounds are clean and the animals appear well cared for. The kids really enjoyed the visit.

    Very nice zoo. Although it's small, they have alot of critters. Great entrance fees. It is nicely landscaped, with large trees that shade the walkways. Plenty of rest areas with benches, tables, chairs and all covered. The train wasn't working. Nice lake with walking trails, picnic areas and playgrounds.

    Perfect for a family day. We went on a Tuesday and practically had the zoo to ourselves. Zoo needs a little bit of maintenance but overall the walkways were cleared and all the animals were out. We especially loved the hippos and the bald eagle!!
