  • this place is beautiful, great place to view the stars, see Lake Michigan, do some hiking. They have very clean restrooms, and a little shop to pick up souvenirs at a reasonable price.  more »

  • Well this is just about the coolest thing ever on a clear night sky. The day we were out there (morning of August 5, 2019 from midnight to 1 am) the observatory's astronomer was out in the "auditorium" area with his telescope showing us Jupiter, Saturn, Andromeda, some globular clusters and more. It was wild. So entertaining and educational! He spend a good 15-20 minutes walking us (a crowd of ~20 people) through pretty much all the major constellations, going in depth on several. Lots of questions and answers. The hour with him has been the best part of our week-long vacation. So fortunate to have this place and that astronomer there (plus the clear skies!!!).
  • I truly love this place. They have so many trails to walk down an explorer. Plenty of outdoor seating for you to relax and enjoy the night time Skyline. 1 tip to getting the best experience out of the international dark sky Park would be make sure there is no moon in the sky and no cloud coverage. I hope everyone checks out this park
