Memorial Union Terrace, Madison

Absolutely one of my favorite places to go in Madison. I love starting at the Farmers market on the square Saturday morning then walking down State Street to the terrace where you can get lunch, ice cream, beer or just sit outside next to the lake and enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin Summer weather. Usually busy all the time, especially so when University is in session. I know in the past when it's been super busy they have limited serving alcohol to students and Union members only but I'm not sure if this is still the case. They also have live music often. This is a must do if you want the full Madison experience and also a great place to see all the sunburst chairs.

This place is amazing. Very live with lots options. Live music, good beer selections, good food. All at reasonable prices. The view is gorgeous. Specially as the sun is setting on the other side of the like. We had a blast. Highly recommended.
