See the granite Roman Renaissance structure of Wisconsin State Capitol, which houses chambers of the state's legislature, its supreme court, and the office of the governor. Take a free tour (offered daily) for a first-hand look at the building's marble floors, glass mosaics, and door knobs with the state's seal carved into them. From outside, look up at the capitol statue--the three-ton bronze figure covered in gold leaf symbolizes the state's motto--Forward. The Wisconsin State Capitol is simply a stunning building. Everyone that is able should take a half hour to walk through this incredible structure. Photos don't do the majesty justice, and you really need to see it for yourself. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area or passing nearby.

This is an absolutely gorgeous building, I haven't had a single moment I walked into the Capitol Building and it hasn't felt like the first time. The details are all absolutely perfect and if you're able to pet the nose of the Badger outside the Governor's office, please do! They also offer FREE tours during the weekdays along with being able to go up to the observation deck!
