Soco Falls, Maggie Valley

I hiked the long way in to Soco Falls during the Winter. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely do it again. It was very snowy and the whole world seemed bright and peaceful. The waterfall is a twin waterfall of decent height. It is quite showy during recent rain and when snow melt is boosting its flow. Quite relaxing place and has easy roadside access for families and people unable to hike. Trails lead to the falls as well and the athletic can use ropes to climb down to the base of the falls.

Beautiful double waterfalls right off the road. Parking is a little tight and maps tries to take you passed the pullout. There is a viewing platform that is easy to get to and has a decent view of the falls however there is a trail that goes all the way down but you will need to use the ropes that are there to hang on to, very tricky!!
