Cobscook Bay is located in Washington County in the state of Maine. It opens into Passamaquoddy Bay, within the Bay of Fundy. Cobscook Bay is immediately south of the island city of Eastport, the main island of which (Moose Island) straddles the two bays. In the 1930s, Cobscook Bay was part of the aborted Passamaquoddy Bay Tidal Power Project (a.k.a., Quoddy Dam Project) to generate electricity from its large tidal range.

We (60-somethings) camped here last summer, early July, in a travel trailer. It is an unbelievably gorgeous, peaceful spot. Sure, no hook-ups, but there is a dump station and water fill up. The... more »

If your looking to get away from it all, this is the State Park to go to. The Park is in the middle of nowhere and it is literally uninhabited because so. However if your looking for a beautiful pristine place with nothing but peace and quiet tranqility this is the place for you.
