    I am 80 years old and my wife is 74. We are in great shape for "old" people, but be aware the .6 mile trek from the parking lot to the lake is quite challenging at 9000 feet!! But it was worth it...

    This is one of the most beautiful lakes in Mammoth. The trail starts at Horseshoe Lake. The trail is .6 miles to McLeod up a steady incline. Still an easy hike for most people. This lake has some of.....  more

    Gorgeous lake with breathtaking views of mountains. Water is crystal clean and beach is sandy. Happy place ❤️ only 0.5 mi easy hike from Horseshoe Lake parking lot.

    Easy hike to the lake. One star off for how busy and not peaceful the lake was once we got there. The nature is gorgeous but people are too loud and annoying. I suggest going earlier and maybe on a weekday.
