Lake Massabesic or Massabesic Lake is a lake in southern New Hampshire, United States, covering about 2,560 acres (1,040 ha) (equivalent to about 4 sq mi or 10 km2) within the city of Manchester and the town of Auburn. Because it provides drinking water for Manchester, swimming and water skiing are not allowed there. Popular sports on the lake are sailing, fishing, and kayaking. The recreational trails along the lake provide views of the lake and the town of Auburn.

Besides flowing into the Manchester water system, the lake's water feeds Cohas Brook, leading to the Merrimack River. Massabesic is a Native American name meaning "place of much water" or "near the great brook."
The lake is classified as a cold- and warmwater fishery.

  • I was able to get a day off from work. I went to the lake for a nice stroll the paths are great with many people walking, running, or riding bikes. There are piers to sit at and beach’s to hang at.

  • My go to place for Peace ✌️ Love the beautiful views 🏞 and water sounds 🌊, wildlife 🦆 and more. Been coming here for 35+ yrs and many good Memories with Family, etc. There's walking trails🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ for everyone to enjoy including our fur babies 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐈. Also picnic tables 🧺 to enjoy a meal along with the view. And benches to relax on. There's dumpsters and garbage cans 🚮 to keep the area clean. And several porta poties 🚻♿️ which is a plus to have.
  • Great trails and a lot to see. No swimming, but great for walking trails, photography, and fishing.
