  • Brought the bikes to ride, but weather didn’t cooperate. Didn’t matter, stayed in cabin 6, it’s set back, so not a clear view of sunset. Handicap is #5 and the view is much better. 6 does have the...  more »

  • We checked out the park last week. Note: the entry fee is $3 per person in your car not $3 per vehicle. The speed limit is o my 15mph. Nothing really stands out. The beach or water is off limits due to high bacteria levels. Under the large pavilions look unkept. The splash pad is nice but more shelter and seating is needed so that parents can watch their children. Need more restrooms and nearer to pavilions. Need the public pool to return. Visitors should be able to reserve tables or pavilions if desired for free as long as they can show ID the day of the reservation. A $1-$3 fee per vehicle is fair not more. All military and veterans should be able to enter free all year.
  • The Sugar mill nature trail is an easy, short hike even with kids. Bring your swimsuit and cool off at the splash pad afterward. Bathrooms were mostly clean. Ample parking. Very friendly staff. Playground has 2 structures that offer appropriate challenge for ages 3 and up.
