Drive, ride a bike, or take a walk across Old Seven Mile Bridge to admire the engineering marvel and the scenic views it provides. Spanning 10.9 km (6.8 mi), the bridge was one of the longest in the world when it was built. Nowadays, an adjacent modern bridge caters to vehicular traffic, while the old bridge--which served as a part of the railway network in the past--is presently open for walking and cycling only. • Most of the bridge is over fairly shallow water so you can see how clear the water is. Plus almost 1/2 way across, you can see Pigeon Key. Read up before you go. Interesting history  more »
  • Rent a boat and fish for some scamp. You can drift or anchor out. Live bait works well. Both sides of the bridge work well.  more »
