Create an itinerary including South Marco Beach
Enjoy some sand-and-surf time without large crowds at South Marco Beach. In addition to being a cozy place for swimming, snorkeling, and sunning, the beach is rich in seashells you can collect. The sand is relatively coarse, meaning it's less likely to stick to your body and clothes when wet; some find it uncomfortable to walk on barefoot, so bring flip-flops or sneakers. You'll find public restrooms in the parking lot next to the beach. Parking tickets are valid for the whole day. If you need a chair or an umbrella, you should bring your own. • July is considered off season but because this parking lot is so small, we had to wait for someone to leave to get a spot. The really nice part is the price is very reasonable for compared to most public parking in SWFL. $10 for the whole day! A good trek to the beach but it’s the closest to public access and it has a nice path. There are clean restrooms, trash cans, a rinsing station, benches all at the parking lot.
  • Lots of parking in the off season. Even around noon, there were still plenty of spaces. The ticket machine couldn't have been any easier. Short walk to the beach from the parking lot. Beach access is well marked. Parking for all day only $10.
