Create an itinerary including Tigertail Beach
With 79 acres (32 ha) of unoccupied white sandy beaches, Tigertail Beach sits alongside a tidal lagoon. The beach hosts water sports galore, and you can rent paddleboards and kayaks by the hour. Considered one of the best all-around bird watching spots in southwest Florida, the beach is a critical habitat for migrating and indigenous birds, including herons, pelicans, and egrets. Deck chairs and tiger-striped cabanas are available to rent for the day. Families will appreciate the playground and cafe on site. • Cool experience. Not your typical beach. A huge amount of sand - room for everyone. Parking not close to beach but once you get to the water …. There is room for everyone.

  • Seriously, it felt like we had this beach to ourselves! Yes, we encountered a few people as we scoured the beach for shells. We found a lot but we were hoping for something exquisite! Maybe next...

  • As a person who loves beaches, this may be my favorite beach! Its a hike to get to the water-front, but once your there - it’s magical! The shell collecting is top-notch too!
  • Best Marco Island Beach access from a parking lot. There are restrooms, food and drink vendor and body/foot showers to clean off the sand when leaving. There is a large amount of parking and by walking across the inlet you gain access to Shell Island for great sea shell collecting. It is a trek to the left to get to the main Marco Island Beach so bring a wheeled tote or carrying bags.
