Fantastic little gem hidden in the desert. Rooms are small and they have a shared restroom area. However, there is one room with a tub (which I stayed in). The place is clean and tidy! Everything is very remote and no cell service. Be sure to bring food as the kitchen has everything you need including refrigerators. The staff is very kind! Will definitely be back!

I retreated to Chinati Hot Springs on a whim when Big Bend was forecast to get snow and bitter cold winds in early February. Compared with my other hotel options the Chinati Hot Springs was well worth the price and the longer drive to get there. Definitely don’t use Google maps to get there, instead follow the directions from the Hot Springs website. This place was pure bliss! The room was cozy and well adorned. I love the way the whole property is set up for endless lounging opportunities. I look to returning with friends in warmer weather to enjoy grilling, drinking margaritas, and enjoying a soak and beautiful sunset. The host wasn’t super warm and welcoming, though she may have been preoccupied with helping another guest who had a flat tire… She checked me in quickly showed me around the resort and left me to enjoy my time soaking and relaxing. Exploring the property, it’s clear that the current owners are doing a lot of work to improve the already fantastic facilities. Kudos for that!
