  • The information boards do a good job describing how this remnant came to be. Interesting to think about thousands of years ago and what was happening in our part of the world.

  • Easy to fine off Hwy #18 south of McMinnville. Side road connects to it from either the North or the South of the wayside. Trail leads 1/4 mile up the hill behind the vineyard; it's a paved trail...

  • A beautiful way to greet the morning sunrise. This lovely short trail is very well-maintained and easy for all skill levels. It’s paved all the way up to the top, and even has garbage cans and informational signage.
  • I'll go, first, I'm overweight and I know it, the small hike was pretty brutal but once at the top, it was amazing. Took my vintage Polaroid camera along with me and took 2 absolutely stunning photos. I'll post them later, they are still developing at the moment, but I was amazed at the history of this beautiful rock and was surprised to find a ground squirrel living under the rock. Will come back again. 10/10 hands down.
