Create an itinerary including Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum
At Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, you'll see numerous military and civilian aircrafts and space machinery. The main attraction, the 1947 Spruce Goose, is a wooden aircraft and boat at the same time with the largest wingspan of any aircraft in history. You'll discover the two-story high centerpiece of the space flight center, the Titan II missile, here as well. The exhibited SR-71 Blackbird is the fastest piloted aircraft, achieving speeds of nearly 3,530 km/h (2,193 mph). For fun, try out the interactive moon landing simulator. The waterpark at the site features 10 rides, four of which begin inside a real Jumbo Jet. • If you have even a mild interest in aviation you’ll love this museum. The highlight is the Spruce Goose. Pictures don’t do it justice, you have to see it in person. It is a logistical marvel just thinking how they got the plane in there. There are plenty of eager volunteers around happy to tell you everything you want to know about the plane. The surrounding grounds are really cool too with various different planes scattered around that you can walk around. Very happy I got to experience this place!
  • To be clear we only visited the water park so I can't comment on the museum. This place is wonderful. While it's a bit of a drive from the Portland area it's worth it. All indoors and nice and warm. There are 4 very fun water slides but three of the four require tubes. While there are some free shared tubes it's best to rent your own. You can as a family share them as well. You probably want a double tube per three people in your party. They have lockers available for rental as well using an RFID bracelet. Make sure to get there a little before opening and immediately line up for tube and locker rentals to the right of the sign in desk. The food court is good but slow. Bottled drinks pizza dole whip churros sandwiches nachos and some other things. Wave pool and kiddie play area as well. The slide stairs are great in that even if you have a party member who is scared of heights since it's indoor and you queue through the roof you don't get a sense of the height like you do with most outdoor water parks. All in all a great way to spend an afternoon
