Root Candles, Medina

We enjoyed this store very much. They offer beautiful American-made candles, decor, and gift items, and are a Vera Bradley retailer as well. The prices on some items seemed a bit steep if, I'm being honest. I do understand that quality comes at a price, but I got sticker shock from a few things I picked up. I had read about the store online and was expecting a small gift shop, and the factory seconds/out of season section that I had read about online, and was surprised at how large the retail area actually is. I learned later that there was an entire upstairs that I managed to miss, and we were shopping for over an hour. The factory seconds area was very small and had very little to offer. I'm not sure if this is due to being cleared out during the winter holidays, or the production problems that a lot of smaller businesses are facing right now, or if the dozen or so varieties in small quantities are what you'd typically find in that section. I did end up buying some candles, some votive holders, and a Vera Bradley item. They have a wide variety of candle scents. Something for everyone. I will definitely be back.

I love visiting this shop. They have the most gorgeous smelling natural beeswax candles and tons of adorable holiday decorations. The live bee display is a real favorite as my family are really into bees. It is safely behind glass for anyone who might be concerned about live bees buzzing about. They often have really good sales as well. Worth a visit if you're looking for holiday decorations, trinkets or stocking stuffers. Plus some really interesting sauces and spreads in the back section.
