    What is not to love about this place. Amazing scenery. Great place to take a walk. We seen owls, deer, foxes and many more animals.

    We happened upon Heckrodt Wetland Reserve when we had an hour to kill in Appleton. We took the green trail which is a mile loop. It had so much to offer! Very easy, flat, groomed trail with wide...

    We got surprised by a deer, a garter snake, lots of birds, turtles, and even a turkey with her babies. We enjoyed the butterflies, climbing on the rocks, looking through the binoculars at the wetland ponds at the beautiful scenery. Lastly we enjoyed the wonderful that was unique. What a pleasant surprise!

    Beautiful walk. I went during autumn and saw a lot of deers walking across the paths. I cant wait to visit during flower seasons. It's great for exercise, bird/dear watching, relaxing, and to bring kids. Though I recommend kids be kept calm, since the time I visited some kids were screaming and you could hear them across the reserve.
