Devil's Head Resort reviews
Just got back from a trip this weekend. We had two families with 4 kids total ages 8 - 17. We had a great time. The inn was outdated but was overall nice. We were on the 3rd floor and had access to... more »
A solid little resort that's showing its age in a couple of places with 2 golf courses that are also very solid but a bit rough around the edges (no pun intended). The resort itself is clean and functional. The rooms are simple, also clean and serve as a good place to crash but are not the kind of rooms you'd want to spend much time in. The restaurant is surprisingly good, not great with a decent selection of different foods without trying to go overboard. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, which I've never used but seem to be enjoyed by those who do. The in-house bar is large and they make good drinks. A little lacking in atmosphere. The staff throughout the resort are generally very good and receptive. We golf here every year and the courses have the potential to be very good. The layouts are good and the views are great in certain places, but the maintenance is what lets them down. Some of the tees and greens are in fairly poor shape. Some are great! However, they're not at the expense-point where you feel you've been hard done by. You'll have noticed a theme throughout this review.....That the place is solid but unspectacular. Just about every facet of the resort fits that description. We come here every year for a golf weekend and look forward to it. You can't go wrong here. Unless you're expecting spectacular. UPDATE 8/2019. Still a solid 4, leaning towards a 3 if you're here for golf only. Still represents good value for money but the golf courses are deteriorating badly. Needs some serious investment in the grounds. Still enjoyed our trip though!
World’s smallest big screen TV in the bedrooms. Twilight zone hallways. Room decor from the finest museums in Europe. Towels made from the softest sand paper known to mankind. Ceramic walls that make you feel like you’re in prison. But the location was nice.
