  • We went to Mexico Beach for a day trip while staying in Destin FL. It was a very nice walk out you could watch the people fish from the pier.  more »
  • Great place to visit. It's destroyed after the storm but there are places open. The beach is accessible. Be prepared for traffic due to construction.
  • Most of the debris has been removed and rebuilding/repairing is well under way. There is lots of open space where houses used to be and the landscape can be hard to recognize. Toucans is just a bare spot on the sand and El Governor is just a see through frame. Still, it's Mexico Beach, a place dear to so many. On a bright note, the beach comes all the way up to 98 where Lookout Lounge use to be, making beach access even easier than it was. And speaking of the beach; it's just as beautiful as ever. Hurricane Michael couldn't destroy that.
