South Pointe Park is a wonderful destination for an evening stroll on a hot day or a picnic on a cool day. There is a playground and splash pads for young children, there’s an EXPENSIVE bar where you can enjoy a classy drink and of course there is the southern end of Miami Beach! On weekend mornings there seems to be a parking “mafia” charging $20 for parking but normally PayByPhone parking is only about $2.50 per hour. There’s plenty of parking away from the main car park though so you have options if you’re willing to walk. Speaking of walking there is a large and long path heading northwards that you can stroll along for a more vigorous walk, and then there’s the option of dipping into the ocean whenever it gets too hot. All in all it’s a nice part of Miami that’s definitely worth visiting!
This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Miami Beach. It was really nice to go there and watch the sea, see the boats and ships passing on the direction of the port, we could see a lot of birds, fishes and even a Manatee breathing. We also were watching the guys fishing around and we saw them take big fishes. A place to go when you are in Miami Beach.
