The UVM MHF welcomes visitors May through October annually, with special events in June and in August. Please see our calendar of events for more details!

A small admission fee to the grounds is collected upon arrival, with tours available on the hour from 9:00am through the day, last tour at 3:00pm. A short 10 minute video plays at ten-of the hour, first showing at 9:50am and last showing at 3:50pm.

$5 per adults

$4 for teens

$2 for 5 y/o-12 y/o

Under 5 are free!

Each Saturday in June we have Foal Days from 11am-2pm. This is a fabulous opportunity to highlight our foal crop as well as offer educational opportunities for a foal's first year. Weather permitting, we have the mares and foals on display in our outdoor arena. Admission fee applies. Great photo ops!

Every second Wednesday in August we host our Vermont Day Open House. There are no admission fees for this day and we welcome guests and friends to this special event from 11am to about 3pm. We have demonstrations of Stallions and Get, as well as the versatility of disciplines at which our Morgan's excel. At lunch time the Mares and Foals entertain the crowd in the arena. This is a fantastic event for the whole family, bring a lawn chair and a picnic lunch!

  • Only 2 American breeds - Apaloosa and Morgan. 30 minute tour is worth it.We got to pet one of the fillies! Even non horse people will like this. Good for history buffs.
  • Go early in the morning. I was there at 9 and got a personal tour. A storm had taken down a tree a their phone lines so couldn't walk out to the mare and foal barn. Will go back another day.
