Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) is both a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization and a protected wildlife area in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, encompassing over 1,500 acres (6.1 km2) of forest, rivers and wetlands. Located in Midland County, they are one of the largest and most prominent private non-profit nature centers in the United States.

  • My wife and I took a hike--many different choices on lengths and what to to see-----loved it along the river-bigger then you expect  more »
  • 33 degrees out doors. . We wrapped up warm, and we studied the nice trail maps that are located around and figured out how to read the map. It is so easy to me teaching a 3 year old something all the....  more »
  • My daughter just finished a week of nature camp and she had a great time. They learned about plants, animals, and different types of rocks. She really liked the different craft activities. We will be doing it again next year. If you want to attend make sure you sign up early, April, as all the camps do fill up.
  • Delightful stop while visiting Midland! The windows over the river and by the forest are fantastic. We watched fish and saw a turkey and her young feeding. Lots to do and learn.
