Since 2003, Rocky River Vineyards has been growing muscadine grapes, which are indigenous to North Carolina, filled with antioxidants, and produce a sweet table wine. Our 45 acres are snuggled into the gently rolling hills of eastern Cabarrus County, with Big Meadow creek flowing through the property toward Rocky River. Our Midland attractions planning website makes visiting Rocky River Vineyards and other Midland attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
It is a relaxed, yet sophisticated and peaceful setting to enjoy a glass of award-winning wine, while taking in the beautiful panoramic view of the vines. Rocky River Vineyards wine ranges in flavor from a sweet, red or white muscadine wine to classic, dry varietals such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Merlot blend, among others.
During your visit you can find unique gifts, keep an eye out for wild turkeys and deer as you wind through the woods, and over the creek along the walking trail, and enjoy a picnic on the grounds.
Throughout the year, Rocky River Vineyards hosts events including spring and fall festivals, grape stomping, a holiday open house and more. The vineyard is also a beautiful place to hold weddings and private events.
Wine Tastings includes all of our wines and two wine slushies for $8 per person, souvenir wine glasses are an additional $2 with the tasting.
Bottles of our award winning wines range in price from $12-18. We have a nice variety of dry and sweet wines, with a specialty in muscadines.
Currently our selection of wine includes:
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Scarlet (Merlot Blend), White Zinfandel, Moscato, Peace & Quiet (Niagara Blend), Niagara, and Muscadine varieties including: White Gold and Rockin' Red.

Delicious wine! Found them at the Charlotte Christmas show and the wine was so lovely, I made the 45 minute drive from Fort Mill to purchase a case. I love that they don't add a ton of sulphits so I can enjoy as much as I would like and don't have the dreadful headache the next day.

This is our go-to weekend vineyard. Great wine, atmosphere, and super friendly staff. They have wine, wine slushies, and now hot wine mix for child weather. Highly recommended. Update 4/22 - wine fest - great wine and friendly service.
