  • This easy relaxing walk through the streets(paths) of the old and forgotten village of Monson NH is well worth the adventure. The eight blue heron nesting high in the dead trees are a treat in themselve.
  • If your a birder this place is for you. As well as a Mycophile. Semi easy walking. You can spend hours here, and who could blame you. It's teaming with wildlife. It's very peaceful here as well. My wife and I go as often as we can. Also very nice wild flowers as well as planted ones. So bring a picnic and a camera. My suggestion to you is to visit the small house in the center. Very cool memorabilia, and pick up a map, then take west trail through the field all the way around until it starts to come around to the RIGHT where it meets south trail. It doesn't show the pond on the map but it is there. A sweet display of the Great Blue Heron and baby chick's. Also pet friendly (on a leash) enjoy😉
