Kinder Farm Park is a park located in rural Millersvile, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA. The park contains 288acre and is operated by Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks. It is open year-round. Organizations using the park include The Friends of Kinder Farm Park and the Kinder Farm Park 4H Livestock Club.
The park is named after the Kinder family, who once ran the farm that now exists within the park. The family made its first land purchases within Anne Arundel County back in 1892, and at their peak owned 1,100 acres of farmland within the county. In the decades that followed World War II, the family slowly began selling off pieces of the land for residential development. In 1979, they decided to sell the remaining 288 acres to Anne Arundel County on the condition that the land be used as a park. They did this because they wanted to preserve the farm's history and provide an open space in an area that was becoming more and more developed.

  • Very nice park! About 2.5 miles of paved wide trails for walking, running or even biking! The park is very pet friendly. Parts of the playground areas are covered. To park near the main playground you do have to pay which is $6 for the day, $40 for an annual pass. Free for military. You also do not need to park near the playgrounds, there are plenty of free parking around the park to get access to the trails.
  • Paying $6 for admission is a great deal. The grounds are well kept and there is lots do. A large playground space is great for kids of all ages. There are 3 tiers, with lots of activities. I wish there were more swings, but it is not a deal breaker for me. I wish I lived closer.
