The Bold Rock Cidery at Mills River is located just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, an area blessed with an abundance of locally grown, high quality apples to craft our award winning line of hard ciders. Much like our flagship operation in Nelson County, Virginia and Cellar outpost at Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville, Virginia, we're surrounded by a vibrant community of craft breweries and wineries which allows us to support and enhance the existing culture.

  • Loved the mid-week vibes. A quiet place to have a cider and enjoy the great weather. Check out a flight to try some of the more unusual cider varieties.  more »
  • I love ciders so I had a flight. $9.00 for 4 was a great price. Crisp and refreshing. They had a coffee cider I was hesitant on but it was delicious! Had to bring some home. The venue is beautiful...  more »

  • Not a fan of ciders, but went here as my sister insisted for her birthday yesterday. They do however have a nice variety of local beers so my husband was happy. It’s a lot bigger than I expected and was really nice. Food truck brunch was decent. However, if you’re pregnant (like me) don’t count on getting anything nice like the non alcoholic sparking cider. They don’t have it and all you have to choose from is lame canned Pepsi products. The bluegrass that was supposed to be playing was really disappointing. Just two dudes quietly jamming. They kept taking breaks and seemed to be more on break than not.
  • I’ve been drinking Bold Rocks ciders for a while and finally got to visit. Tried some I hadn’t had before and some I already love. Maybe it was just in my head but the ciders tasted so fresh. Anyways the food truck was really good, the pork Benedict was great. Also the merch shop has some really neat stuff. I’ll be back.
