Central Standard Craft Distillery, Milwaukee

Cool space and Fantastic house made biscuit and jam (I came during Sunday brunch). I came across this place on my first visit/walk around Milwaukee and found the picture on the wall outside the building inviting me in… I was greeted by Jackson who had a great demeanor and was very professional. He mentioned they make several house made spirits and not being a big drinker can’t really comment on much of that outside of the Basil Gimlet I did try which was great. Definitely worth you venturing by.

We stop in on our walk back to get a break from the cold and had a great time. The bartender was really friendly allowing us to taste a few different bourbon. We all three decide to go with a bourbon that was aged twice and finished in a wine barrel. The bourbon had a really good taste and a unique color, however, it was a bit on the young side. I wish they offered a premium version that was aged for another two to three years. Overall, it was a great experience and the best micro bourbon I have had.
