Milwaukee Public Museum displays human and natural history through millions of artifacts. The museum's permanent exhibits spread over four floors and cover everything from tiniest animals to recreated natural habitats, villages and artwork from all over the world. The Wisconsin area is also well-represented with exhibits covering its geology and the natural world, as well as recreated streets of Old Milwaukee. The museum features a dome theater with 3-D projectors and digital surround system that regularly shows educational movies. You can take a tour of the skies in the museum's planetarium, the largest one in Wisconsin. Rental wheelchairs and strollers are available, as well as a family space for nursing mothers and visitors with small children. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Milwaukee holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Milwaukee Public Museum and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

A fun way to spend the day! Walking around the Streets of Old Milwaukee is amazing. While exhibits get updated and changed slightly the iconic pieces that one remembers from childhood still remain and are in phenomenal shape. The butterfly experience is also a must see! No matter how young or old you are a trip to the museum is a must! There is literally something for everyone!

If you like history and a place to either be by yourself or with your family this is the place to go. From Old Milwaukee Street to Asia and Europe there is something for everyone. Want something more? Add the Planetarium for a well rounded experience. Oh do not forget the Butterfly Exhibit to see nature up close and personal. And taste the Paninis and Coffee. This Disabled Diner had a ball and I think you will too.
