  • We visited on a Saturday in Sept 2022. The buildings are amazing! Made by the miners and masons in the area, and later restored by two visionary men, they are now open for visitors. The stonework is beautiful, and the upper buildings are rustic and historic. We were the only two folks on our tour, which was led by a friendly, personable, and knowledgeable young man -- he loved history and it really showed thru! Mineral Point has lot of other stuff to do, but this was the highlight for us. We are members of the Wisconsin State Historical Society, so admission was free. Recommended!
  • Most unusual place with a very unique history. This historic settlement dates to 1820 which is 18 years before Wisconsin became a state. It is a unique blending of Cornish and American Pioneering culture. Beautifully maintained.
