Lyndale Park is located on the northeast side of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is adjacent to the Lakewood Cemetery and between Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet. It is part of an enormous greenspace circling through Minneapolis called the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway, and is one of the seven districts within, called the Chain of Lakes. The other six districts within Grand Rounds are the Downtown Riverfront, Mississippi River, Minnehaha, Theodore Wirth, Victory Memorial Parkway, and Northeast. Managed by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the 53mi parkway system has numerous parks and parkways, lakes (22 within the city limits), streams and creeks, the Mississippi River, and the 53ft high Minnehaha Falls. The 6400acre park system is designed so that every home in Minneapolis is within six blocks of green space. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Lyndale Park Peace (Rock) Garden and many more Minneapolis attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Minneapolis trip itinerary planning app.

My husband and I went here for a picnic and a walk. There are a lot of benches now so even when it's busy you can find a place to sit. And it was really busy! The adults were good about distancing.... more »
This park within Minneapolis is moderately sized, but offers pleasant viewing. Take time to meander the trails and soak in some nice views of flowers, shrubs, trees, and rocks. The gardeners here do..... more »
Such a relaxing place to go! Will definitely be coming back many times. They have cute trails and a cute bridge with ducks. If you want to just get away from people or could use some great alone time, or couple time, this place is so perfect. You do have to pay for parking, but it's only a couple dollars.. It's worth it though.
I always love coming here. The lilacs in full. The tulips are fresh and well taken care of. They take care of the birds and the bees and the other critters too. It has plenty to admire on a stroll. It leads to the lake so it’s a great stop on the way. The Japanese inspired garden makes it truly unique and beautiful. Everyone should go and admire the work out in to make it what it is.
