Meander among manicured lawns and forests overlooking the Mississippi River at Minnehaha Park, one of Minneapolis's oldest parks. Visit the site's famous 16m (53 ft) waterfall, and enjoy a picnic in one of the many areas available. You can take a trail that leads from the upper falls all the way down to the river and appreciate elm, silver maple, and oak trees along the way. Don't forget to check out the Longfellow House Visitor Center, which houses a small collection of historical photographs and provides useful information on the area and its history. • Nice park, nice waterfall. Great for pics. Street parking is available for a fee. We only viewed the waterfall and took pics.

  • A quick, accessible slice of nature within the city. Nice to just check out the falls, when flowing or frozen is equally enjoyable. Walk along the creek to its confluence with the Mississippi. On the way, look out for the loud red forest squirrels you usually don't see in the city!
  • I love this place! The disc golf is the best free practice course probably in the Twin Cities. It's a great way to start the year off or even loosen up before a serious round or even just play several rounds there and work on your game! Along with the obvious of Minnehaha falls and the trails to the falls it is a vast experience and great scenery and a plethora of wildlife! A great place for friends, family and barbecues and so much more!
