Over 100 years ago, a Greek family settled in Minonk, Illinois, bringing with them a rich tradition of candy making. As time passed, they became well known for making the area's best chocolate homemade candy - and their reputation grew miles beyond this small Woodford County community.
Today, with those time-tested recipes from 1915, Minonk Chocolate Company owners, Christie Ruestman and Cindy Meyer, continue making candy the traditional way.
Our business has grown from 2 to 12 dedicated employees over the past 20 + years and we are very thankful for each and every one.
We are grateful that many of you have chosen our family business to be the providers of your chocolate candies/caramel apples. A box of Minonk Chocolate Company's fresh, delicious chocolates is a gift much-appreciated by relatives, friends, teachers and business associates. Minonk Chocolate Company has always been a big part of the community and they have a great staff. Always going out of their way to help you out! I always find myself stopping by just to say hi, or that’s what I tell myself so I can buy more treats! Which are all great quality and depending when you stop in, you can even see it all being made! I know they are well known for their caramal apples and whips, but they have a lot more! I love the dark chocolate crunch and cookie blossoms! occasionally you may even see some new items! Just today I saw some new dark chocolate whips.

So I purchased a few of the Whips from a display at our local Hyvee and have to say, they were fantastic. The Carmel wasn't too hard, but not soft enough to call gooey either, just perfect. I just put in an order from the number on the website and the lady on the phone was very friendly. Can't wait to receive my order!
